Coca-Cola sets Guinness World Record for 'The Largest Momo Party' in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Coca-Cola has set a Guinness World Record for 'The Largest Momo Party' in Nepal, celebrating the country's food, culture, and community spirit. This shows that Nepal has a fondness for Coke and Momo. 

Coca-Cola on Friday created a memorable experience by setting a new Guinness World Record with 'The Largest Momo Party' as part of the second 'Kathmandu is Cooking' event at the Hyatt Regency Ground in Bouddha, Kathmandu.

Over 500 participants attended the event. Each participant enjoyed two momos with a 250 ml bottle of Coke. A Food Hygiene Inspector and two witnesses were present throughout the event to ensure food safety and hygiene standards were met.

The event lasted for over 15 minutes, with participants enjoying the momos alongside Coca-Cola beverages. This achievement highlights Coca-Cola's commitment to creating moments of joy and unity within the community.

Chandrika Kalia, Country Director for Coca-Cola in Nepal, expressed her pride in the company's achievement, "Nepalis love Coke and momo, and this fact has been recognised through a Guinness World Record. This celebration of food reflects the vibrant spirit of Nepali culture. We are proud to create memorable experiences of celebration and joy in the Nepalese community."
