Paramount Motors showcases MG4 EV’s strength in endurance test

KATHMANDU: Paramount Motors, the authorised dealer of MG Motors in Nepal, has completed the ‘MG4 EV Strength Test’, the first EV endurance test ever organised in the country.

The event, held on March 14 at the Dirt Temple in Dhulikhel, aimed to showcase the remarkable capabilities of the MG4 EV under adverse road conditions. The event was attended by various media houses, public figures, and customers.

The primary objective of the event was to highlight the endurance of the MG4 EV on adverse road tracks, demonstrating its capability to handle steep road conditions with ease. The track at the venue featured multiple extreme speed bumps, deep potholes, U-turns, water ponds, sloping hills, and downhill sections to test the extreme performance and strength of the MG4 EV. Equipped with high-performance features like independent suspension and rear-wheel drive, the MG4 EV proved to be comfortable and easily manoeuvred through challenging terrain.

The event attracted a large audience, including a line-up of distinguished influencers and public figures such as Lokesh Oli, Manoj KC, Sanjog Koirala, Shree Pandey, and Supriya Shrestha, who experienced the power and innovation of the MG4 EV first-hand.

A spokesperson for Paramount Motors stated, “We are thrilled to have showcased the MG4 EV at our Strength Test event, the first of its kind that Nepal has ever experienced, highlighting its remarkable performance and innovative features. Most of the participants at the event shared their mutual excitement, saying that the event was thrilling. The MG4 EV smoothly navigated tight corners and handled rough terrain with ease, according to them. They agreed that they were impressed by the overall performance of the vehicle. It was a completely unexpected event with brilliant output for a four-wheeler in the EV segment.

The closing of the event was marked with a surprise price reveal; the price of Luxury variant was revealed at Rs 4,999,000, featuring a motor capacity of 99 kW and a WLTP range of 440km along with features like a 360 camera, heated seats and steering, wireless phone charging, etc., adding further excitement to the event. The MG4 EV Luxury offers colour options of white, red, black, grey, blue, and orange.

The MG4 EV is now available in two model variants — MG 4 EV (Comfort) and MG 4 EV (Luxury). The Comfort variant comes with a battery capacity of 51 kWh, motor power of 99 kW, and a range of 350 km, priced at Rs 4,149,000. The MG4 EV Comfort offers colour options of white, red, black, grey, and blue.
