FWEAN’s 7th International Women Entrepreneurs Business Fair 2024 to take place from March 29 to April 2, 2024

KATHMANDU: On Friday, March 22, 2024, The Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal (FWEAN) conducted a press conference and mentioned that the 7th International Women's Business Fair will take place from March 29 to April 2, 2024 (15th to 20th of Chaitra 2080).

Shova Gyawali, FWEAN president stated that “The event will be held at The Heritage Garden Sanepa. And the opening ceremony will be marked by the presence of Honourable Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.” It is estimated that more than 50,000 people will visit the fair during the 5-day fair to make a financial transaction of about 50 million rupees during the duration of the fair. 

The fair aims to encourage the recognition of entrepreneurship of the women entrepreneurs living in different districts and rural areas of Nepal. “A total of 112 stalls will be available to buy and sell the best products of indigenous women entrepreneurs including women entrepreneurs from India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan” quoted Darshana Shrestha (first vice president of FWEAN). 10 stalls for Startup Businesses, 12 stalls for People with Disability, 8 stalls for sale, and stalls displaying climate change resilience products and products related to handicrafts, money trade and services are targeted at 112 stalls for women.

The fair will further encourage networking, communication, and coordination among women entrepreneurs around the world. The fair also intends to provide a platform for all women entrepreneurs to Search for excellent opportunities for B2B, and B2C contact and coordination and conduct interactive programs. Additionally, certificates of excellence in various categories will be awarded as an incentive to participating women entrepreneurs from different districts: Which will be the basis for displaying the products, stall decoration, packaging , labelling, etc.
