In 2019, Glocal Pvt. Ltd. conducted research on "Skills for Future Jobs in Nepal" for the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security's Training Department, leading to the initiation of its flagship program, Skill Week. Skill Week, scheduled from April 1st to April 8th, 2024, is a dynamic platform dedicated to workshops, competitions, exhibitions, and learning opportunities across various skill domains.
A highlight of Skill Week is the Skill Fest on April 6th at Kings College, Babarmahal, offering a day of fun-filled activities and learning opportunities for youths aged 15-30. Participants can engage in skill showcases, explore job opportunities, and partake in skill-learning activities, fostering networking and exploration.
Throughout the week, workshops by different organizations and individuals will be held at various venues, emphasizing skill development and entrepreneurship. Additionally, a round table discussion on Industry-Academia Interaction and the CEO Unplugged forum on entrepreneurship and contemporary business challenges are scheduled for April 7th and 8th, respectively.
