Addressing the 58th Annual General Assembly of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal said the government has always been working with the private sector in formulating policies. "I welcome the private sector's commitment to work with the government. The government is committed to prosperity," he said. "There is a need for private and public sector investment in the country. There are problems with sources, ideas, and work style to attract investment. We will bring ordinances if necessary."
He acknowledged that while the basic economic indicators are becoming positive, there are still some problems in the economy. "This time, the policies and programs will include suggestions from people's representatives, the private sector, and the general public," Dahal said. "The budget will be made based on that. It is difficult to fulfill the people's expectations with traditional thinking and work style. This time, I will work to solve this problem."
The Prime Minister has said that if necessary, ordinances will be brought in to attract investment into the country. He said that this time, resources will be increased for capital expenditure. He said that increased capital expenditure will help improve the economy and boost the morale of the private sector.
