KATHMANDU: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari has argued that the country's economy is gradually improving.
At the inauguration of the event titled 'Sustainable Accounting Practices' organised by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) in Kathmandu today, Minister Bhandari stated that the previously slow growth in the economy has now improved.
He noted that economic indicators have improved and that the economy should now be made more dynamic through the development of trade, business and national industries.
According to Minister Bhandari, new economic opportunities should be created by boosting the morale of industrialists and the business community to build a robust economy. "On the one hand, this provides a positive message on the economy, and on the other, it creates employment opportunities within the country," he observed.
On this occasion, he urged chartered accountants to maintain credibility and transparency in their profession.
