Qatar's emir set to visit Nepal for bilateral talks, agreements

KATHMANDU: The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, is set to arrive in Kathmandu for a two-day official visit on Tuesday. 

During the tour, the Qatari Emir will engage in discussions with Nepali leaders, focusing on ways to enhance cooperation and addressing several issues of mutual interest, according to the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nepal, Mishal bin Mohammed Al Ansari.

In addition, agreements and memoranda of understanding will be signed in various fields, the Qatari Ambassador confirmed.

Officials have shared that the Qatari Emir's visit is given top priority and the issues concerning Nepali migrants and their rights will be brought to the forefront.

The Emir of the State of Qatar serves as the monarch and head of state of the country. Additionally, the Emir acts as the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces and is the guarantor of the Constitution. Holding the most influential position in the country, the Emir plays a significant role in foreign relations.
