SUDURPASCHIM: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has assured a departure from traditional methods in the formulation of policies, programmes, and the annual budget for the forthcoming fiscal year.

Speaking to the media at Dhangadhi Airport today, Prime Minister Dahal emphasised the government's preparations to introduce advanced, objective, and citizen-friendly programmes, policies, and budget. PM Dahal was en route to Kanchanpur and had a stopover at Dhangadhi Airport.

Dahal asserted that the current government does not reflect the power dynamics among the leftists. Instead, it should be viewed as a political power equation, he said. According to him, the incumbent government coalition will complete its full term and there are no internal issues, contrary to outside rumours.

He stated that the government is preparing to welcome the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who is arriving here for his two-day official visit starting on April 23. "This opportunity is historic," he said.

Similarly, preparations for the Nepal Investment Summit, scheduled to take place on 28-29 April, are nearing completion, according to him.

"We have received widespread positive and encouraging responses regarding the Summit," he said, adding that the government is preparing to introduce some Acts through ordinances to create an investment-friendly environment.

On the occasion, PM Dahal also shared with the media that Nepal will be hosting an international conference of mountainous countries on climate change.
