Qatar's emir arriving in Kathmandu today

KATHMANDU: The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, is set to arrive in Kathmandu later this afternoon for a two-day state visit, following a warm invitation from President Ramchandra Paudel.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has announced that the Qatari Emir will engage in a meeting with President Paudel at his office, Shital Niwas. A state banquet is planned to be hosted by the President in honour of the Emir.

In addition, the guest from Qatar will conduct bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday.

Subsequent to the discussions, both leaders will be present at the signing ceremony of bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding, as stated by MoFA.

The Qatari Emir is due to depart from Kathmandu on Wednesday, April 24.
