ADB Vice-President Yang calls on PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: Yingming Yang, Vice-President (South, Central and West Asia) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar today, where they discussed Nepal's economic development and the upcoming investment summit, according to the Prime Minister Dahal's Secretariat.

On this occasion, PM Dahal stated that Nepal is an appropriate destination for investment, highlighting the significant investment by the ADB in Nepal's physical infrastructure development. He shared that Nepal would present effective and investment-worthy projects at the investment summit taking place in Nepal.

"The government has created a conducive environment for investment by making revisions at the legal and policy level. It is the best opportunity for investment in Nepal," emphasised PM Dahal.

Vice-President Yang stated that the ADB is ready to invest in Nepal's strategic projects and explained that the ADB would prepare a strategy to further invest in Nepal in the coming days.

Rupak Sapkota, Foreign Affairs advisor to PM Dahal, along with high-ranking officials of the ADB in Nepal, were present at the meeting.
