KATHMANDU: IME Ltd has been acknowledged for bringing in the highest volume of remittances in the country.
On its 69th anniversary, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) honoured IME for achieving the highest remittance collection, accounting for 27.5% among remittance companies in the fiscal year 2022/23. NRB Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari presented a Letter of Appreciation to IME's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Khilendra Paudel, at a special ceremony held at the central bank's office on Friday.
The NRB stated that the company has been recognised because the inflow of remittances has contributed to the country's overall economic stability, socio-economic reform, and balance in the external sector. Upon accepting the letter of appreciation, IME CEO Paudel expressed that this recognition has further inspired IME to provide remittance services with reliable, safe, and state-of-the-art fintech technology to its customers.
The central bank has a tradition of honouring the banks and remittance companies that bring in the most remittances, on the occasion of its anniversary.
