KATHMANDU: OMODA, a leading automotive brand, has become the first Chinese automaker to manufacture vehicles in Europe.

In the midst of the green transformation sweeping the automotive industry, OMODA has demonstrated its prowess in expanding globally and has persuaded many global leaders to embrace the electric future.

At the inauguration ceremony held in Spain on 19 April 2024, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Castejón, along with other influential European leaders, jointly witnessed the landmark moment of the OMODA new energy vehicle factory plan in Spain.

Earlier in February 2024, OMODA became the first brand of the Chery Group to enter the European Union market. It held a grand launch event in Madrid, Spain, announcing the official entry of its first all-electric crossover SUV, the OMODA E5, into the Spanish market.

Launched in Nepal last February, the OMODA E5 has received high praise for its exceptional electric technology, efficient and intelligent performance, and futuristic design style, from both the global and Nepali markets.

SPG Automobiles is the authorised distributor for Omoda & Jaecoo Automobile Co Ltd in Nepal.
