KATHMANDU: Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) launched 'Investing in Nepal', a handbook for Indian investors, on the second day of the Nepal Investment Summit 2024, on Monday.
Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of India, Prasanna Shrivastava, Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board of Nepal, Sushil Bhatta, and NICCI President Shreejana Rana jointly launched the book on the sideline of the summit.
The book was published by NICCI in association with the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi and the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, to provide consolidated information regarding the prevailing laws of Nepal and procedures to encourage Indian investors to invest in Nepal.
The book incorporates nine major Acts amended by the Government of Nepal through the ordinance passed by the Council of Ministers and approved by the President of Nepal, Ramchandra Paudel, on April 28, 2024. NICCI is hopeful that the handbook will guide and assist Indian investors in understanding the investment climate in Nepal.
