KATHMANDU: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, inaugurated the Fortune Resort & Wellness Spa today.
The resort and spa, built by the ITC's Hotel Group of India, is located on the grounds of the 143-feet-tall statue of Kailashnath Mahadev in Suryabinayak Municipality-10, Bhaktapur district, which borders Kavrepalanchok district.
At the inauguration programme, chief guest Minister Bhandari stated that the government would offer subsidies and concessions to industry-oriented entrepreneurship based on production.
"The development of industries, the promotion of mines and mineral industries, entrepreneurship, and small and medium enterprises is the need of the hour. Let's focus on the development of entrepreneurship, including the agricultural produce sectors. Let's identify the production areas. The government provides subsidies and concessions based on production," he reiterated.
Minister Bhandari argued that the development of entrepreneurship increases employment opportunities and emphasised the importance of attracting more foreign investment in the industry and tourism sectors.
"The construction of private hotels and resorts will contribute to the expansion of tourism destinations," he said, stressing the need for the formation of national capital through the development of entrepreneurship.
