Government adopts policy to promote agricultural industries: Minister Bhandari

ACHHAM: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, has stated that a plan will be devised to export goods produced by Nepali entrepreneurs. 

At a press conference organised by Press Chautari Nepal in Achham on Saturday, Minister Bhandari emphasised the need to create an environment that encourages business and entrepreneurship, in order to realise the national ambition of a prosperous Nepal. 

He noted that the government is actively working towards the promotion and development of micro, cottage and small industries, in alignment with the goal of 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali'. 

Minister Bhandari further argued that promoting industries based on local raw materials would help to reduce the escalating trade deficit. "There is a need to increase local products. The government has a policy of promoting agriculture-based industries", he shared.
