KATHMANDU: Foreign Employment Office, Kathmandu has launched online service for labour permits today.
Now, anyone going for foreign employment can take the labour permit service online.
The Office began the institutional level labour permit last month. Similarly, the re-permit for labour began last January.
The change in service delivery has largely reduced the crowds of service seekers.
Office chief Ramesh Aryal informed that the labour permit service has gone online as per the directive issued by the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security. With the launch of online service, it will be easier and more convenient for both service providers and recipients, Aryal informed.
A total of 167,000 persons were provided labour permits last fiscal year while more than half a million people have got labour permits in 10 months of the current fiscal year 2021/22.
