Finance Minister assures budget alignment with policies and programmes

KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun has stated that the budget for the forthcoming fiscal year will be introduced to implement the government's policies and programmes announced on Tuesday.

Following the President's announcement of the policies and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year on Tuesday, Minister Pun briefly spoke to the media. He asserted that there would be no discrepancies between the government's policies and programmes, and the budget. 

"Previously, there were complaints about inconsistencies between the budget and the policies and programmes, but this will not be the case this time," the Finance Minister assured.

He expressed that the government's annual policies and programmes are commendable, and the budget will be introduced to reinforce these announcements.
