KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the price of petrol by Rs 7 per litre, and diesel and kerosene by Rs 5 per litre each.

This decision was made during a meeting of the NOC Board of Directors, and the revised prices of petroleum products came into effect from midnight on Wednesday.

With the price adjustment of petroleum products, the retail price of petrol is Rs 168.5 per litre for the first cluster, which includes Charlali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj. For the second cluster, Surkhet and Dang, the price of petrol is Rs 170 per litre. Consumers of the third cluster, comprising Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal depots, will have to pay Rs 171 per litre.

These price adjustments are consistent with the revised price list from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Nepal's supplier of petroleum products, as stated by NOC Spokesperson Manoj Thakur.
