LMC organises test drive of Nepal-manufactured Hyundai Venue for media persons

KATHMANDU: Laxmi Motor Corporation (LMC), subsidiary of Laxmi Group and authorised distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Nepal, organised a test drive of Nepal-manufactured Hyundai VENUE for media representatives on Saturday. This followed the grand inauguration of the first Hyundai Assembly Plant in Nepal.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal inaugurated the plant in Ramgram, Parasi district, on Friday.

Designating the day as Media Day, LMC invited representatives from a range of national and regional media houses to experience and test drive the Hyundai vehicle produced at the plant.

Over 65 media organisations took part in the test drive of the Hyundai Venue.

The day included a thorough factory tour, providing insights into the assembly process and showcasing the advanced technologies used in Hyundai's manufacturing operations. A knowledge-sharing session facilitated a valuable exchange between industry experts and media persons, enhancing their understanding of Hyundai Motors. The media representatives deemed the event as significant and highly important.

The  Hyundai Motor Assembly Plant, which occupies a built-up area of 14,000 sq m out of a total of 65,000 sq m, represents a significant investment in Nepal's automotive industry.

With an annual capacity of 5,000 units per shift, the facility aims to transform Hyundai vehicle production across the country, adhering to all the standards set by Hyundai Motor Company (HMC). LMC established the factory under the technical supervision of HMC, ensuring that every vehicle produced meets the standard protocols for performance, safety, and reliability.

The inauguration of the plant underscores LMC's commitment to producing affordable and accessible Hyundai vehicles, aiming to meet the diverse needs and aspirations of various customer segments.
