KATHMANDU: A parliamentary probe committee, formed to investigate the misappropriation of cooperatives' funds, is currently in session at the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
The meeting is being held to establish the terms of reference to guide the committee's actions.
The meeting is attended by CPN UML Chief Whip Mahesh Bartaula, Nepali Congress Joint General Secretary Jivan Pariyar, and lawmakers Gyanendra Bahadur Karki and Sishir Khanal from the Rastriya Parajatantra Party.
The leading political figures in parliament have agreed to form a parliamentary probe committee to investigate the embezzlement of cooperatives' funds. The committee is coordinated by Law Minister Padam Giri.
