KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has stated that a 'unified mountain voice' is urgently required to address the escalating concerns about the impacts of climate change.
PM Dahal made this statement while speaking at the 'International Dialogue on Mountains, People and Climate' in Kathmandu today.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the necessity for economic and technical cooperation for countries most severely affected by the impacts of climate change.
Asserting that the impact of climate change on mountains is unprecedented, he noted that it is clear that countries with mountainous regions, being on the front lines of the global climate crisis, are disproportionately burdened by the adverse effects of warming. He called for a collective resolve to tackle this pressing issue.
