Govt's annual development programme, medium term expenditure framework passed

KATHMANDU: A full meeting of the National Planning Commission (NPC) has approved the government's annual development programme and three-year medium-term expenditure framework.

The full meeting passed both documents to be presented in parliament along with the budget. The meeting was held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

The annual development programme will be presented in parliament along with the budget. Financial discipline will be maintained, appropriation efficiency will be strictly adhered to, and budget allocation will be made according to the spending capacity of organisations, according to Prime Minister Dahal's Private Secretariat.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal stated that he had directed the creation of a people-oriented budget and Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun has prepared the budget accordingly. 

Finance Minister Pun, NPC Vice-Chair Min Bahadur Shrestha, Chief Secretary Baikuntha Aryal, and other members and the member-secretary were present at the meeting.
