Prabhu Bank, USAID Trade & Competitiveness collaborate for sustainable growth in agro and tourism sectors

KATHMANDU: Prabhu Bank and USAID Trade & Competitiveness have forged an agreement for the ‘Empowering Agro & Tourism Industry for Sustainable Growth for Future Nepal’ Project. This project, slated for implementation in Bagmati Province, aims to strengthen agricultural and tourism businesses, thereby facilitating job creation within the country.

Marcus Muller, representing USAID Trade & Competitiveness, and Ashok Sherchan, Chief Executive Officer of Prabhu Bank signed the agreement on Monday, May 3, according to a statement issued by Prabhu Bank.

The project’s objective is to enhance the availability and accessibility of financial products and services for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in a sustainable manner. This initiative is designed to stimulate sustainable job growth and income generation opportunities, with a particular focus on those lagging in economic growth in the agriculture and tourism sectors.
