Triveni MotoCorp opens Dongfeng EV showroom in Lalitpur

KATHMANDU: Triveni MotoCorp has inaugurated a showroom for Dongfeng electric vehicles (EVs) in Balkumari, Lalitpur.

As part of the Triveni Group, Triveni MotoCorp has started importing, selling, and distributing Dongfeng vehicles after being appointed as the authorised distributor for China's Dongfeng Automobile Co Ltd.

Dongfeng Automobile Co is one of the top three car manufacturers in China and operates in 50 countries worldwide.

Currently, Triveni MotoCorp has started selling and distributing 11-seat and 14-seat Dongfeng electric passenger vans, as well as 4.5 and 5.3 cubic metre cargo vans.

Triveni MotoCorp has expressed its aim to contribute to environmental improvement through the promotion of EVs and to work towards the mutual benefit of all parties involved in the transport sector.

The 11-seater EV Micro is equipped with a 50kW motor and a 42kWh lithium-ion battery that provides a 300km range on a full charge. Similarly, the 14-seater EV Micro has an 80kW motor, and its 50kWh lithium-ion battery provides a range of 300km on a full charge. All Dongfeng electric vans are fitted with CAT batteries.

Triveni MotoCorp has also established dealer networks to distribute Dongfeng electric vans across Nepal. The company has stated that service, parts, and chargers will be available at all dealer networks. The company is expanding charging stations in its dealer networks with the aim of providing charging services to customers and plans to expand charging stations as needed in the future.

Triveni MotoCorp is marketing vehicles through Sahara Automobiles in Birtamod, Eastern Motors in Itahari, Narayani Autocorp in Janakpur and Birgunj, Autoways in Pokhara, Prapti Motors in Dhangadhi, Smart Auto in Narayangadh, Smart Auto in Lalitpur, and GEV Nepal in Bhaktapur.

Triveni MotoCorp has established a service centre at Bahundhara Mandirmarg, Jorpati in Kathmandu, focusing on after-sales service and has also arranged for the necessary parts. The company has stated that it has arranged a trained and experienced service team to facilitate after-sales service, so customers can choose Dongfeng vehicles with confidence. The company has also invited customers to inspect and visit the service-related arrangements.
