The Nepal Distilleries triumphs at IWSC Awards 2024, bags 3 medals for premium spirits

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Distilleries, Nepal's first and leading distillery, has announced the addition of three more prestigious medals to its existing wall of global recognition.

The distillery's three distinct offerings have brought home one silver and two bronze at the International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) Awards 2024. The IWSC is a global wine and spirits community that has been discovering and awarding the world's best spirits since 1969. The annual event receives entries from over 90 countries.

Leading the distillery's flagship lineup since 1959, Khukri XXX Rum, secured a bronze medal with 88 points. The Khukri Spiced Rum, infused with authentic Nepali spices, was awarded a bronze medal with 89 points. Similarly, NUDE SUPERIOR VODKA, the distillery's flagship product, claimed the silver medal with 91 points. One of the nine members of the IWSC judging panel was Ian Burrell, the Global Rum Ambassador, who is currently in Nepal, exploring the craftsmanship and unique taste of the Original Nepalese Rum — Khukri Rum.

First produced in 1959, Khukri XXX Rum has established itself as the Original Himalayan Rum.
