BHARATPUR: FC Chitwan, a football club, organised an interactive session with stakeholders to discuss various aspects of football in Nepal.
The discussion was held in Bharatpur Metropolitan City, coinciding with the Bharatpur Mayor Cup Football tournament. This event was part of the club's initiative to nurture young talent and promote a sustainable future for football in Nepal.
Over 500 players, students, and stakeholders of Nepali football participated in the programme.
The discussion covered a range of perspectives on the role of local bodies, organisations, private entities, and players in the development of football and its players. Key issues such as stakeholder coordination, creating an investment-friendly environment, restructuring the league system, and including players' voices in policy-making were also discussed.
In addition to the interaction, expert presentations were given on vital topics such as sports science, nutrition, physical fitness, sports psychology, and injury prevention. The modern equipment and presentation excited the students and players, who suggested that it should be included in future training and development.
