KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is currently on an official visit to India, held a meeting with his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, on Sunday evening.
In the meeting held in New Delhi, Prime Minister Dahal congratulated Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, for assuming the role of the country's executive head for the third consecutive term. He expressed his confidence that the relations between Nepal and India would reach new heights during Modi's tenure.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues of bilateral interest and the mutual relations between Nepal and India. They also talked about matters related to the implementation of agreements and understandings that have been signed between the two countries in the past.
Prime Minister Dahal attended the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Modi on Sunday evening. He had departed Kathmandu for New Delhi earlier that day. Accompanying him were his daughter, Ganga Dahal, the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Padam Giri, the Foreign Secretary, Sewa Lamsal, and other high-ranking government officials.
Prime Minister Dahal is scheduled to return home this evening.
