International Labour Conference: Minister Aryal expresses Nepal's commitment to social justice

KATHMANDU: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Dol Prasad Aryal, has expressed Nepal's commitment to promoting social justice. 

In his address at the 112th session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva on Tuesday, Minister Aryal reiterated his dedication to the agenda of mobilising labourers for decent work.

Minister Aryal shared Nepal’s experiences, achievements, and reforms in addressing labour-related issues and implementing relevant laws, as reported by the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations in Geneva.

Minister Aryal had a meeting with Chee Keong SIM, Minister of Human Resources of Malaysia, on the sidelines of the conference on Tuesday. They discussed issues related to creating a safe working environment for Nepali migrant workers and strengthening cooperation to enhance the skills of workers.

Similarly, Minister Aryal had a meeting with Ali Samikh Al Marri, Minister of Labour of Qatar, on the sidelines of the conference on Tuesday. The two ministers discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in addressing challenges and improving working conditions for Nepali workers.

Minister Aryal is scheduled to join the Nepali delegation, led by President Ramchandra Paudel, from June 12 to 13 and return home on June 14.
