KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the prices of petroleum products.
According to the NOC, the price of petrol has been cut by Rs 3 per litre, while the prices of diesel and kerosene have been reduced by Re 1 per litre.
A meeting of the NOC Board of Directors decided to lower the prices of petroleum products, effective from Sunday.
With the reduction, petrol per litre now costs Rs 162.5 in Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj, while its price is set at Rs 164 in Surkhet and Dang. Similarly, petrol will be sold at Rs 165 per litre in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal.
Likewise, diesel and kerosene per litre cost Rs 149.5 in Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj and Rs 151 in Surkhet and Dang districts. Diesel and kerosene will be priced at Rs 152 per litre in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal, as stated by the NOC, the state-owned enterprise responsible for importing, storing, and distributing petroleum products.
