Madhes Province unveils Rs 43.89bn budget for upcoming FY2024/25

DHANUSHA: Madhes Province government has introduced its annual budget of Rs 43.89 billion for the upcoming fiscal year 2024/25.

Finance Minister of Madhes Province, Bharat Prasad Sah, presented the budget in the province assembly on Saturday.

According to the budget proposal, over Rs 16 billion (36.45%) has been allocated for recurrent expenditure, while Rs 27.89 billion (63.55%) for capital expenditure. The budget for the upcoming fiscal year is marginally lower by 0.50% than the current fiscal year 2023/24.

Minister Sah stated that the Madhes Province government has focused on education, health, agriculture, and tourism in its budget allocation.
