KATHMANDU: Chaudhary Group, in collaboration with the renowned Taj Group of India, has launched 'Ekyam', a joint venture platform aimed at strengthening Nepal's hospitality industry.

CG Hospitality Holdings' Managing Director, Rahul Chaudhary, inked the strategic partnership agreement with Taj during a lavish ceremony in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Currently, three hotels are operational in Nepal under the Taj Group banner, with efforts underway to transform three additional hotels under Taj.

The partnership between Chaudhary Group and Taj Group is anticipated to boost Nepal's tourism sector. The agreement includes promoting not only Vivanta in Kathmandu, and Meghauli Serai and Vivanta in Bharatpur, but also positioning the entire country as a premier tourism destination via Taj's global network. The 'Ekyam' platform is poised to benefit Nepal's entire tourism industry.

With a history of collaboration with Taj Group, in the Himalayan Belt and the Indian Ocean, Chaudhary Group has recently been focusing on macroeconomic ventures in Nepal, partnering with prominent Indian corporations. A notable instance is the establishment of Hero MotoCorp's assembly plant in Nepal. Previously, in association with Adani Group, Chaudhary Group started exporting Nepali products including cement to the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

"We've had a longstanding partnership with the Tata Group of India. Moving forward, we aim to collaborate with more globally recognised investors to attract investment into Nepal. We're confident that this will significantly benefit Nepal's economy," stated CG Hospitality's Managing Director Chaudhary. He emphasised the importance of partnering with a globally acclaimed group like Taj for Nepal.

Chaudhary opined that this partnership with Taj will enhance Nepal's hospitality sector, casting a positive light on the nation's tourism and hospitality on a global stage. "We are committed to working alongside this group, confident that it will yield benefits for Nepal and its people," he remarked.

Additionally, Chaudhary Group maintains partnerships with notable Indian brands such as Godrej, IFFCO, and Kent.
