KATHMANDU: Public Relations Committee of the Nepali Congress in the UK has expressed concern about lack of political stability in Nepal, which has discouraged foreign investment from the UK.
During an event organised in London on Saturday, the committee’s chairperson, Mahesh Dahal, stated that although British entrepreneurs and businesspersons are willing to invest in Nepal, frequent policy changes hinder their efforts.
Dahal emphasised that non-resident Nepalis and foreign investors have been encouraged to invest in Nepal. However, their apprehension stems from Nepal’s political instability. He urged political parties to take political stability seriously.
On the occasion, Shiva Lamsal, President of the Nepal Press Union, pledged to inform the NC leadership about the challenges faced by the committee.
Bipin Niraula, President of the Press Union UK, along with political analyst RK Tripathi (Rajkumar) and others, were present at the event.
