KATHMANDU: NYEF Kathmandu Chapter concluded the 'Emerging Leaders' 2024 event on Tuesday, recognising five outstanding student entrepreneurs across five different categories. This initiative aimed to cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit among young individuals and provide a platform for innovative talents to showcase their achievements.

The event, held at the Academy of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management in Lagankhel, Lalitpur, commenced with an inspiring opening speech by Aabhushan Jyoti Kansakar, CEO of Jeevee Health. Drawing an analogy between startups and roller coasters, he emphasised the importance of enjoying the entrepreneurial journey despite its inevitable ups and downs. Kansakar highlighted that the startup journey spans a significant period of 10 to 16 years, urging participants to embrace the ride. "Imagine yourself as someone afraid of heights, and I place you on a roller coaster. You would not find it enjoyable; instead, you would feel sick and nauseous. However, as a startup company, it is essential to embrace and enjoy the journey despite its ups and downs," he said.

The awards were presented in the following categories: Innovation & Technology, Social Impact, Education, E-commerce and Retail, and Sustainability, Environment, and Agriculture. Each category featured remarkable winners who delivered heartfelt acceptance speeches, showcasing their dedication and innovative spirit.

NYEF President Sahara Joshi shared insights into NYEF's journey and achievements, expressing gratitude to all attendees for their support. She underscored the platform's significance in nurturing young talents and fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in Nepal.

Anil Keshary Shah, former CEO of Nabil Bank, served as a guest speaker, inspiring the audience with his words: 'Create your own path and identity rather than trying to be like others. Be who you are.' His message resonated deeply with the young entrepreneurs, encouraging them to pursue their unique visions confidently.
