KATHMANDU: Rage Fitness, a physical fitness centre in Naxal, Kathmandu, concluded a five-day Beginner Level 1 training programme focused on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) self-defence techniques, on Friday.
A team from Media9 and individuals from various backgrounds participated in the training to enhance their practical skills in defending themselves against physical attacks or in combat.
The training was expertly led by Professor Mauricio Gomez Oquendo, a Black Belt holder, professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, and martial arts coach from Colombia. His extensive experience in BJJ and MMA ensured that participants received top-notch training.
The first batch of enthusiastic learners immersed themselves in practice sessions, simulating real-life scenarios to refine their self-defence skills. From joint locks to ground control techniques, participants gained valuable insights into BJJ’s practical applications.
All the participants were awarded certificates of participation.
Meanwhile, Rage Fitness offers BJJ self-defence training under the guidance of Prof Mauricio for both individuals and corporate groups.
