
KATHMANDU: The Department of Roads (DoR) closes Naubise-Malekhu road section along Prithvi Highway from 10:00 pm to 3:00 every day for the repair and maintenance of bridges.
The vehicular movement will remain closed for five hours from 10:00 pm to 3:00 am until upcoming July 24, according to DoR.
Meanwhile, the DoR has expedited the repair and maintenance of bridges over various rivers including Ganesh, Dangdung, Kheste and Pokhare in Naubise-Malekhu road section.
A decision was taken to close the road section from July 10 in view of possible risk to road users and disruption of vehicular movement, added the DoR said in a notice.
The notice reads, "Vehicles except for ambulances and those used by security bodies will be completely stopped from 10:00 pm to 3:00 am every day till July 24."
The department has urged one and all to use the Galchhi-Bidur-Chhahare-Tokha road as its alternative route.
