Senior tourism entrepreneur, hotelier Ambica Shrestha no more

KATHMANDU: Senior tourism entrepreneur Ambica Shrestha has passed away today. She was 92. 

Shrestha, President of Dwarika's Hotels and Resorts, breathed her last while receiving treatment at Mediciti Hospital in Lalitpur, as confirmed by family sources.

For the past two months, She had been battling pneumonia, having previously overcome cancer four years ago. 

Active in the hotel business for the last 65 years, Shrestha had been wholeheartedly looking after the management of Dwarika's Hotels and Resorts since 1991. 

Shrestha is survived by her two daughters, while her spouse and son had already departed before. 

The Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) has mourned her loss deeply and acknowledged her significant contributions to the advancement of Nepal's tourism industry.
