Gold price drops by Rs 2,000; traded at Rs 147,500

KATHMANDU: The price of gold and silver has decreased in the domestic market today.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations (FENEGOSIDA), the price of fine gold dropped by Rs 2,000 per tola (11.66 grams) on Friday. On Thursday, gold was traded at Rs 149,500 per tola. Currently, Fine gold is being traded at Rs 147,500 per tola.

Similarly, Tejabi gold, which was sold at Rs 148,800 per tola on Thursday, is now being traded at Rs 146,800 per tola.

Meanwhile, the price of silver has also declined by Rs 30 per tola. Silver is currently being traded at Rs 1,830 per tola, compared to Rs 1,860 per tola on Thursday.
