KATHMANDU: Investment Board Nepal (IBN) Chief Executive Officer Sushil Bhatta today submitted the performance report for the fiscal year 2023/24 to the Prime Minister.

While submitting the report, CEO Bhatta shared insights with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli regarding progress in project development, efforts to promote investment, and institutional strengthening. He also discussed challenges encountered during project implementation, the board's proactive measures to address these challenges, valuable lessons learned, and the anticipated future scenario.

Upon receiving the performance report, PM Oli emphasised the need to enhance the country's investment climate. As the chairperson of IBN, PM Oli stressed the importance of continuous improvement in the investment environment to attract domestic and foreign investment.

"To attract more private investment — both domestic and foreign — the investment climate within the country should be improved. Additionally, we must enhance the institutional capacity of IBN, positioning it as a centre of excellence for public-private partnerships," stated the Prime Minister.
