Gadtaula appointed as chief secy, Adhikari as NPC vice chair

KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Acting Chief Secretary Lila Devi Gadtaula as the Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal. 

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday decided to appoint Gadtaula as the Chief Secretary, Minister for Communications and Information Technology and Government's Spokesperson Prithvi Subba Gurung said.

Additionally, the cabinet meeting appointed Prof Dr Shivaraj Adhikari from Palpa district as the Vice-Chairperson of the National Planning Commission (NPC). 

Adhikari, an economics professor at Tribhuvan University, will assume this role. Furthermore, the cabinet appointed several other individuals — RP Bichha, Ramesh Prasad Singh, Prakash Kumar Shrestha, Gita Kumari Poudel Adhikari, Jaya Bahadur Tandon, and Ganga Dutta Awasthi — as members of the NPC.
