DHANUSHA: Madhes Province Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh has stated that the provincial government is committed to resolving industrialists' issues.

Inaugurating the 57th annual general meeting (AGM) of the Janakpurdham Chamber of Commerce and Industry today, Chief Minister Singh said, “I understand the problems of the business community; they are facing difficulties in bringing goods from India. There are issues related to tax, and the lack of skilled manpower in the customs office has also made it challenging to work there."

He mentioned that the provincial government plans to create jobs in the agriculture sector in Dhanusha and Siraha. He urged industrialists to consider that locals are not getting employment in the industries established in Madhes. "Locals should be given employment opportunities while operating businesses and industries," said Chief Minister Singh. He expressed his commitment that the provincial government is supportive of the rights and interests of industrialists.

Chief Minister Singh further suggested that stakeholders should be involved even at the policy level. Province Assembly Member Ram Ashish Yadav; Mayor of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City, Manoj Kumar Shah; and President of Janakpurdham Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jitendra Kumar Mahaseth; among other officials were present at the programme.
