Top 35 contestants auditioned for 'Miss Universe Nepal 2024'
KATHMANDU: The auditions for 'Miss Universe Nepal 2024' took place at the Hilton Kathmandu on Monday.
From the 60 contestants selected in the preliminary round, 35 will be chosen from the auditions to compete in the Grand Finale of Miss Universe Nepal 2024.
The judging panel for the auditions included renowned singer Indira Joshi, Miss Universe Nepal 2022 Sophiya Bhujel, and choreographer Dikpal Karki. They were joined by Sangita Puri, National Director of Miss Universe Nepal 2024, and Sabi Puri, CEO and President of Global Glamour Venture. Additionally, veteran international image consultant and pageant coach Alexander Gonzalez, along with pageant analyst Luis Portellis, judged the contestants virtually.
The auditions saw enthusiastic and inclusive participation from transgender women, married women, non-resident Nepali women, and women from various professions.
The organisers have informed that non-resident contestants who were unable to participate in Monday's audition will be judged virtually. The results of the top 35 contestants selected through the audition will be announced after three days via the official social media channels of Miss Universe Nepal 2024.
The top 35 contestants selected in this audition will participate in training sessions in preparation for the finale. They will receive training on personality development, public speaking, personal finance, and other useful life skills from national and international trainers.
The grand finale of 'Miss Universe Nepal 2024' is scheduled to be held in the first week of September this year. The winner will go on to compete with contestants from over 100 countries in Mexico in November for the prestigious Miss Universe 2024 crown.
