Applications for Glocal Teen Hero Nepal 2024 closed; activation programme concluded

KATHMANDU: Applications for the 10th edition of Glocal Teen Hero Nepal 2024, presented by Golchha Group, closed on July 30, 2024. The activation programme to promote this platform has been successfully completed in schools across all seven provinces of Nepal.
During the programme, interactions with teenagers in various schools revealed many talented teens making significant impacts in social work, entrepreneurship, innovation, environmental protection, and other fields. Meanwhile, preparations are ongoing to recognise these talented teens with grandeur this year as well.

The Glocal Team engaged with teens in over 50 cities across Nepal, from east to west, in various schools and colleges. The programme was also coordinated with various local bodies.
For the past decade, Glocal Teen Hero has been highlighting the motivation and enthusiasm of teenagers beyond the academic field, providing a platform to recognise their unique talents and effective societal contributions. Glocal Teen Hero Nepal deeply acknowledges the initiative, creativity, and enthusiasm of teenagers aged 13 to 19, empowering them to bring about positive change locally and globally.

Influential teens across the country bring new thoughts, ideas, possibilities, and dimensions of social change. It is evident that thinking, not age, is crucial in transforming society through new efforts and big dreams at a young age. Talented teens who have demonstrated skills in social service, journalism, robotics, computer programming, entrepreneurship, social awareness, environmental protection, or social transformation activities can apply online for free. Additionally, individuals can nominate outstanding teens from their community.
