JANAKPURDHAM: Minister for Home Affairs, Ramesh Lekhak, has asserted that the current government was formed to achieve political stability, sustainable development, economic prosperity, and the promotion of good governance.
Minister Lekhak emphasised that the cooperation of all state apparatuses, as well as every sector of society, is essential to achieve these goals.
Speaking briefly to the mediapersons at Janakpur Airport this morning, he mentioned that laws reforming the organisational structure of the Nepal Police would be issued soon.
The Home Minister highlighted, “Nepal Police Act is 69 years old. Its timely revision is necessary. Nepal Police should be made more professional by enacting new laws and building organisational capacity. Nepal Police Act has been revised, and the Finance Ministry has been asked to manage the budget in this regard.”
