KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that indicators of the national economy have shown positive signs in a short period since the formation of the present government.
Responding to lawmakers' queries during the proceedings of the House of Representatives on Thursday, PM Oli argued that the coalition government, formed by the Nepali Congress and CPN UML, aimed to remove public disappointment and instil hope. He stated that revenue mobilisation and capital expenditure increased last month compared to the corresponding month last year.
"The real estate business has seen improvement. There is a remarkable upward trend in the stock market as well. The external indicators of the economy are also positive. I've seen the private sector enthusiastic about investment," PM Oli shared.
According to the Head of Government, a work plan to ensure reforms in policy, law, and service delivery to the people within 100 days of the present government's formation is being implemented.
On a different note, PM Oli informed that Damak View Tower in Jhapa district could be used for both commercial and tourist purposes. The government is committed to the immediate operation of the facility, he added.
