Aryal appointed as government chief secretary

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to appoint Eknarayan Aryal as its new Chief Secretary. 

Minister for Communication and Information Technology and government spokesperson, Prithvi Subba Gurung, shared that Aryal will assume the role of chief secretary from September 1. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday took this decision.

Furthermore, the Cabinet meeting decided to appoint Dinesh DC from Ilam as the executive chairperson of the Film Development Board. 

Additionally, the government has granted permission to the telecommunications service provider Ncell to pay its licence renewal fee in four instalments. Minister Gurung clarified that a 10% interest rate will apply from the second instalment onwards until the final payment.
