KATHMANDU: Aloi has announced a strategic partnership with Hamro Saccos, aimed at empowering women by providing loans specifically designed for licensing and training in two-wheelers.
This initiative, launched during the festive season of Teej, marks a significant step towards promoting economic independence for women in Nepal by supporting their career development in the logistics sector.
This collaboration is set to facilitate women in obtaining the necessary licences and training required for employment in salaried positions within logistics companies. Through this partnership, women will have access to financial support, enabling them to become eligible for electric vehicle (EV) scooter loans based on their earned income.
In addition to offering licensing and training loans, Aloi will provide rental scooters for those women who need additional support, ensuring they have the necessary resources to start and sustain their careers. This initiative reflects the commitment of both Aloi and Hamro Saccos to fostering gender equality and economic empowerment through innovative financial solutions.
The agreement was signed by Birat Singh Thakuri, Senior Product Manager at Aloi, and Indra Ghimire, Chairman of Hamro Saccos. Both parties expressed their dedication to supporting women’s empowerment and advancing sustainable development goals (SDGs) in Nepal.
This partnership underscores a shared vision of enhancing opportunities for women in the workforce, contributing to their financial independence and overall economic growth in the country.
