Tourist arrivals surge by 8.3 pc in August: NTB

KATHMANDU: The country witnessed a significant boost in tourism last month, with an 8.3% increase in tourist arrivals compared to August 2023.

According to the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), the country welcomed 72,719 tourists in August 2024, up from 67,153 in the same period last year. This rise includes an additional 5,566 visitors, with a substantial number coming from India, totalling 25,832.
