KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Deepak Raj Joshi as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).
Joshi was appointed for a four-year term during a meeting of the NTB Board of Directors on Thursday, according to Senior Director and Spokesperson Nandini Lahe Thapa.
This marks the second time Joshi has been appointed to lead the Board, having previously served as CEO from 2015 to 2020.
Former CEOs Dhananjaya Regmi and Gyaneshwar Singh Mahato were also shortlisted for the position by the Selection Committee.
Upon his appointment, CEO Joshi stated that it is both a challenge and an inspiration to deliver results amidst adverse conditions, limited resources, and high expectations from the tourism sector.
