KATHMANDU: The relentless surge in international gold prices has significantly impacted the domestic market. The price of gold soared by Rs 500 per tola (11.66 grams), reaching an unprecedented Rs 157,300 per tola today.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of fine gold stood at Rs 156,800 on Sunday, the first trading day of the week. This marks the highest price recorded in the domestic market to date.
Similarly, the price of silver increased by Rs 15 per tola from the previous day's price, reaching Rs 1,915 today.
