KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, held a meeting with senior World Bank officials at the Ministry in Singha Durbar today.

The discussions focused on the Nepal Urban Governance and Infrastructure Project, a collaborative effort between the Ministry and the World Bank. Deputy Prime Minister Singh urged the World Bank to engage in urban development projects within the Kathmandu Valley. He stated, "The World Bank is allowed to undertake a project in the Kathmandu Valley," adding that such an initiative will resonate across the entire nation.

DPM Singh emphasised the importance of partnership in managing the Valley's rivers, transforming the Valley into a cultural city, and addressing climate change and infrastructure development.
